aboutME

I am a blues harmonica player based in Gloucestershire, England. I'm available as a session musician for studio and band work.

I have won the National Harmonica League Player of the Year, and I front The Liam Ward Band as well as playing with The Jake Leg Jug Band, Mark Cole, Malcolm Thorne and Benjamin Bassford among others.

I'm a blues specialist but also love playing rock, pop, country, jazz and more. I have performed across Europe and in the USA, Canada, Mexico and Australia. I am also a Session Harmonica Player with recording clients worldwide. I play and endorse Hohner Harmonicas.

I also sing and play jug band / skiffle instruments: musical saw, jaws harp, comb & paper (precursor to the kazoo), jug, washboard, spoons and the Irish bones.

I run an online harmonica school at www.learntheharmonica.com, teach masterclasses and write content for magazines including Blues Matters, Harmonica World and Blues in Britain.
